How do I decide between a wall plate or a floor plate?

Choose a Packout Wall Plate if you want gear stored vertically and always accessible. Choose a Packout Mounting Plate if you want Tool Boxes or Organisers locked down on a flat surface.

What surfaces can the PACKOUT™ Mounting Plate be mounted to?

The PACKOUT™ Mounting Plate can be mounted to almost any structurally sound surface, as long as it can hold the screws to support the load.

Our PACKOUT™ Modular Storage System is the industry's most durable and versatile storage system. The MILWAUKEE® PACKOUT™ Mounting Plate is constructed with impact resistant polymers, giving you up to a 45kg weight capacity when mounted to the floor and 22kg when mounted to walls. Metal reinforced mounting holes allow you to securely fasten the Mounting Plate to most surfaces, while metal reinforced tie-down points help you to secure job site supplies to the Mounting Plate. Our PACKOUT™ Modular Storage System allows you to customise and build your own storage system to easily transport and organise your tools and accessories.

Yes! PACKOUT™ is interchangeable. Every PACKOUT toolbox, organiser, crate, drawer, tote, and even PACKOUT‑compatible lights, vacuums, and coolers are specfically designed to interlock with each other across the entire system. This is the whole point of the PACKOUT ecosystem: mix, match, and stack anything you want.

The PACKOUT™ system is designed to be modular and impact‑resistant. It's built with large internal cavities that can accommodate drills, impact drivers, grinders, and even bulkier tools depending on the box you choose.

The PACKOUT™ Mounting Plate can be installed by following the below steps: 1) Position the plate where you want it, level it, and mark the mounting holes. 2) Pre‑drill holes using the correct drill bit for your surface (wood, metal, concrete, etc.). 3) Fasten the plate using appropriate screws or bolts, ideally with washers for strength. 4) Test the mount by attaching an empty Packout box to ensure it’s solid before loading it up.
